Easy Classes at Asu to Boost Your Gpa
Fall session B classes begin on Oct. 13, and now is a great time to register for a class that could drastically impact your life. We're sharing this list of courses that have a few things in common: they're all focused on self-learning and personal acceptance, and they all have open seats (so far).
To search for these classes, enter the subject and number into Class Search (as seen below) to find each course offering and seat availability.
- UNI 240: Researching Mindfulness. Start your journey of self-discovery with a course that will focus on introducing you to mindfulness and the impact it has on your success as a student. Research topics that you can apply to your daily life to deepen your understanding of how the brain and mind influence beliefs, choices, behaviors, and learning. (iCourse, 1 credit).
- FIN 123: ASU Financial Literacy. This class is for anyone who hasn't learned the financial basics they need to live in the "adult" world, and for anyone preparing to manage their finances on their own. Learn need-to-know info about credit cards, student loans, saving, investing and the ever-necessary skill: how to do your taxes. (iCourse, 1 credit ).
- SWU 250: Stress Management Tools 1. Make session B less stressful by enrolling in this class focused on helping you create a healthy balance in your life. You'll learn about the biological, psychological and social aspects of wellness and leave better-equipped to deal with life's stressors. (iCourse, 3 credits, Social-Behavioral Science) .
- IDS 201: Intellectual Fusion. A course about the nature and characteristics of integration. Learn how to use the power of integration to your massive advantage, how to make powerful connections between different domains of knowledge in your own mind and how to collaborate most effectively with others. (iCourse, 3 credits, Social-Behavioral Science ).
- MCO 120: Media and Society. In this course, offered through the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, you'll explore the role of media including newspapers, magazines, radio, television and motion pictures in American society. (iCourse, 3 credits, Social-Behavioral Science) .
- MCO 101: Everyday Grammar. Say goodbye to stressing over your next comma and take this class. Over the course of this six-week session, you'll work with your instructor and classmates to master the elements of grammar so you can feel confident that your next assignment is error-free. (iCourse, 1 credit).
- PRM 120: Leisure and Quality of Life. For lovers of leisure time and believers in the importance of taking a break (or workhorse nonbelievers ready for a challenge), this class explores the role of leisure in terms of quality of life. You'll explore the foundations of play and recreation through a variety of lenses and dive deep into the importance of taking a break. (iCourse, 3 credits, Social-Behavioral Sciences) .
- SGS 204: Professional Global Career Development . Take your career development to the next level by exploring what it means to be oriented in a global context. Learn how to think critically about careers in the global arena by focusing on working in global organizational settings. (iCourse, 3 credits).
- DCE 203: Walk This Way. Explore the importance of walking and other common movements in different contexts. You'll use this understanding to address the dynamic between yourself and society through bodily movement. (iCourse, 3 credits, Humanities).
- SOC 241: Modern Social Problems. Go beyond an understanding of contemporary social problems by emphasizing the potential community involvement can have in achieving impactful solutions. You will learn how you can be a part of these solutions within your own community. (iCourse, 3 credits, Social-Behavioral Sciences ).
Session B registration is currently open , and the last day to drop or add a class is Oct. 14.
